Willem Anker and Jaco Bouwer’s Samsa-masjien is “back on stage” and theatre enthusiasts can now enjoy this multi-award-winning production as a filmed drama exclusively as part of the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK)’s online festival in 2021.
Since this production debuted at the KKNK in 2012, it has made a clean sweep at several awards events. Not only did Samsa-masjien receive four KKNK Kanna Awards (out of six nominations) in 2012, it was also the big winner at the Fleur du Cap Awards in 2015.
Samsa-masjien has an age restriction of 18 years due to scenes with sex, nudity and strong language.
